APRIL 26, 2017 — Harvey Gerstman Associates (HGA) — Manufacturers Representatives in the Construction, Industrial/MRO, Hardware, Paint, and Safety markets — is proud to announce that Charlie Gerstman, representing the third generation of the founding Gerstman family, has been promoted to Vice President of Sales. In his new role, Charlie will continue to build HGA’s business by working closely with the manufacturers and customers that we serve in the agency’s territory. In addition, he will lead the field team to drive manufacturer sales to new levels while introducing innovative sales solutions and technologies to the organization.
Harvey Gerstman, Founder and CEO of HGA, stated “It is with great pleasure that we announce the promotion of my grandson Charlie to Vice President of Sales. In my 60 years in our industry, I have rarely seen a young man come along with the sales street smarts that he possesses. He has earned this position because of his terrific ability to open new accounts, develop existing accounts, and provide leadership to our sales reps in the territory. Charlie has demonstrated a unique talent in dealing with his customers, the principals, and sales managers from the manufacturers we represent. It is very special for me to have the third generation of our family continuing the great work of my son Dan, our President, and my daughter Linda, our Executive Vice President. Today is a great day for HGA!”
Dan Gerstman, President of HGA said “Charlie brings tremendous energy and has helped our agency to reach new heights. In his new position as Vice President of Sales, he will lead a great team as our agency continues to expand in scope and geographical reach. Our manufacturers will benefit greatly with Charlie at the helm as the third generation to hold this very important position in our organization.”
Mike Cole, Mutual Industries’ National Sales Manager, commented “Charlie is a pleasure to work with. He is extremely efficient, persistent and organized. The territory has grown 25% since Charlie has joined the team. Not a day goes by that I don’t communicate with him via phone call, text or email, which we love as a manufacturer. He is constantly looking for new opportunities.”
